This policy explains what information meliewilliams.com (“the site”) collects, how Melie Williams uses it, and the choices you have.

Information you give me

Email signups. When you subscribe to book updates, the GEM Framework, or other emails, I collect your email address and any other details the form asks for. These are stored with my email service provider, which sends the emails and records whether you opened or clicked them.

Speaking inquiries and messages. If you use the speaking form or email me, the details you provide (such as your name, organization, event details, and message) are sent to me and kept in my records. I use them only to reply to you and to keep track of speaking inquiries.

How I use it

I use your information to send the emails you signed up for, respond to your messages, and improve what I create. I don’t sell your personal information.

Emails and unsubscribing

Every email includes an unsubscribe link. You can leave at any time, and you’ll stop receiving marketing emails from me.

Services I use

The site relies on third parties to operate, including my email service, web hosting, and analytics providers. These services may process technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver their service. Fonts are served from the site itself. Links to other sites, including my podcast, are governed by those sites’ own policies.

Analytics and cookies

I use a privacy-focused analytics service to understand how people find and use the site, such as which pages are visited, and a few anonymous actions on the Check-in quiz, such as how many people finish it and which result they land on. It doesn’t use cookies to track you across sites, and it doesn’t record your individual quiz answers. The data is used in aggregate and isn’t used to identify you personally.

The signup forms provided by my email service may set a cookie in your browser so that a form you’ve seen or closed doesn’t keep reappearing. You can block cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.

Your choices and rights

You can ask me to access, correct, or delete the personal information I hold about you. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK, or California), you may have additional rights under local law. To make a request, email hello@meliewilliams.com.

Children

The site is not directed to children under 13, and I don’t knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If I change this policy, I’ll update the date above.
